ICAAV Youth wing has the initiative to craft the network among the Youth of our community in Antelope Valley. This networking concentrates on helping Youth derive a meaning from the involvement in the activities of the Wing. The ICAAV Youth Wing functions as an umbrella unit of youth community in the region. In order to bring the sense of responsibility and venture them to develop their personality, the activities are held throughout the year on different occasions. During summer break, in order to show their educational attainment and nurture the competency spelling bee contests were held under the guidance of NSF Further, to inculcate the sports attitude among the youth, sports activities were held during Independence Day celebration in the Antelope Valley. Also to nurture them and to show their additional talent, major portion of ICAAV’s Baisakhi and Diwali events were allocated to Youth representation by including performance of Youth Community in the form of Punjabi Bangra and South Indian Bharathanatyam performances. These events also make them aware of the importance of these occasions to the Indian community.
Although the presence of youth of our community in Antelope Valley is very limited, we are proud to claim that our youth peers are pursuing their higher education in renowned Universities. We are pleased to mention the presence of Charter school and tutoring institutions in the region to guide and prepare our Youth to pursue higher education. In fact our blossomed peers share their experiences and guide to nurturing buds and help them to formulate ideas on further education and personality development.
We also intend to make this section of website as platform to present our Youth’s ideas in the form of poetry, articles and pictures about their achievements or subject of interest. It could also be about an event of interest to Youth or an opportunity of volunteering. We appreciate sharing them, so that ICAAV could proudly share them on this platform. It could be some accomplishment in the school, admission into a course or a volunteering social event.
Let us end by a quote from Gita.
Action is greater than inaction. Perform therefore thy task in life. Even the life of the body could not be if there were no actions.
